Following the close of the 2013 season the Rays announced they had exercised their options for Zobrist, agreeing to pay the Miami second baseman/shortstop/outfielder $7 million for the 2014 season. Nickname: Zorrilla (6’3” & 210lbs) Ben’s wife Julianna Zobrist is a professional Christian Pop singer. Zobrist claims God helped him realize that he was supposed to play baseball. "I just felt like everything fell into place so much, that this is what I was supposed to do," Zobrist says. "This is what I was made to do."
